Genome editing provides a transformative route for accelerating citrus research and breeding. Our work focuses on developing advanced editing platforms, ranging from tissue-culture-based systems to in-planta delivery methods, that enable precise and efficient modification of citrus genomes. Alongside targeted editing, we also implement transgenic approach to study gene function and validate trait-associated pathways in citrus. Our study aims to support fundamental discovery, long-term improvement of key horticultural traits and streamlined breeding pipelines.
